The Naked Truth

The Naked Truth is an unplugged tribute to the Netherlands' best rock band, the Golden Earring. In a dazzling theater show, the band will play the biggest Earring hits live at Theater Het Punt in Vroomshoop on Saturday 9 March.

In the 1990s, MTV launched the MTV Unplugged sessions with sensational success.

In September 1992, Golden Earring presented a Dutch version by means of an acoustic concert at Grand Café De Kroon in Amsterdam.

During this unique unplugged performance, the Earring played classics such as Back Home, Another 45 Miles, Radar Love, Twilight Zone, When The Lady Smiles, Going To Run and many other hits. The live session was recorded and the Earring's first unplugged album The Naked Truth was a fact.

After more than 60 years, Golden Earring's music is still popular among a wide audience. 

The Naked Truth consists of four seasoned musicians who have more than earned their spurs in the (international) pop circuit. With singer guitarist Roland Brons and lead guitarist Robbert Paul Verkade, complemented by the experienced rhythm tandem Robert Jan Kimmijser on drums and Johan Maring on bass, the band is as solid as a rock. The band's love for Dutch pop and rock music permeates their lives and their passion for live performance and the Golden Earring brought the musicians together.
