Since his first album Gravity was released in 2000, Rob Lutes has written a collection of exquisite songs, ranging from blues, folk and Americana to the contemporary singer songwriter genre. He is playing both true blues classics and his own acclaimed original songs with great skill. Thanks to his masterful fingerstyle guitar playing, and his raspy voice, his live shows are an intense experience.

In the fall of 2020, the album Come Around was released, for which he received several nominations in 2022, including for Album of the Year, Contemporary Singer, English songwriter, and Producer of the Year. The Canadian music critic Daniel Lemay called him one of the most important singer-songwriters of his generation. 

Rob Lutes has been playing with longtime partner Rob MacDonald for many years. MacDonald is a gifted guitarist who plays the resonator guitar. During their longstanding collaboration, they have developed a style that seamlessly interlocks their guitar playing, resulting in impressive shows.
