Ordinary Elephant writes catchy songs at the intersection of country, bluegrass, and folk. The artist duo consists of Peter & Crystal Damore, a couple who is inspired by artists such as Gillian Welch, Guy Clark, and David Rawlings.
Their beautiful harmonies quietly accompanied by mainly the banjo, mandolin and guitar result in intense and layered songs that are nevertheless easy to listen to. It is with good reason that Ordinary Elephant was voted 'Artist Of The Year' at the International Folk Music Awards and that Mary Gauthier is one of their biggest fans. With their latest album Honest (2019), internationally recognized as one of the best americana albums of the year, the artist duo really made a name for themselves in the international americana world.
