Back to the Country

Dat 13 niet per se een ongeluksgetal hoeft te zijn bewijst de cast van Back to the Country in de nieuwste editie van deze langstlopende muziektheaterproductie. Een editie die wederom vanaf de eerste tonen van Neil Youngs ‘Back to the country’ tot de laatste klanken van het traditionele slotnummer ‘Country roads’ boeit.

Solist Dick van Altena en de band Savannah wisselen opnieuw bekende songs af met vergeten en soms onbekende juweeltjes. Tevens maakt men, evenals vorig seizoen, af en toe een uitstapje naar de sixties met titels, uiteraard overgoten met een countrysausje, het nostalgiegevoel alleen maar completer maken.

Savannah staat al decennialang aan de Europese countrytop en werkte met grootheden als Bobby Bare en Freddy Fender. Dick van Altena was voorman van de fameuze band Major Dundee en bevoorraadde als songwriter menig Nederlandse top-act.

Ook dit seizoen kan er nagenoten worden in de foyer met de inmiddels vermaarde afterparty.

This edition once again captivates it audience from the first sounds of Neil Youngs’ ‘Back to the country’ to the latest chords of the traditional final song 'Country roads'.

Soloist Dick van Altena and the band Savannah are again playing a mix of well-known songs and forgotten and sometimes even unknown gems. Like last season, they also occasionally play songs from the sixties, of course with a touch of country, further completing that feeling of nostalgia.

Savannah has been at the European country top for decades, working with musical giants like Bobby Bare and Freddy Fender. Dick van Altena was lead singer of the famous band Major Dundee and worked as songwriter for many Dutch top acts.

This season, you can also reminisce about the show during the now famous afterparty in the foyer.
