There are 1000 ways to be on the road. If you wanted, you could play against the same 10 old clubs over and over again. You can also do like Philip Bradatsch:

He plays more than a hundred times a year. Rancid cellar locations, hip Indie clubs, small and large festivals, dozens of pubs, smoky bars on shady corners – he has seen it all. He has been counting the bills for rent, food, tobacco products and petrol every month for ten years. His mother a nurse, his father a locksmith – he should have known better. But he didn't.

Now, his new record ‘Ghost On A String’ has been released on Trikont. How fortunate that he never gave up the life of a traveling troubadour – he has too many good stories to tell. Stories that warm our hearts and souls, stories of outsiders, of who were left behind, of the future that could turn out good despite everything. Of exploding stars, love, the absurdity of things. Of the ghost on the strings of the puppeteer, and of complete resignation and total freedom.

Philip Bradatsch's voice is rebellious, calm, soothing and dreamy at the same time – and sounds like he knows more. Maybe he does. And if not, at least he will make us believe that this world has not yet completely lost its romance and depth.
